Land Drains and Services

PCG offer a non-archaeological service for the detection of land drains and buried services. To minimise cost, such features can often be identified by surveying along relatively narrow transects using Bartington gradiometers.

This technique was employed to locate land drains on a c.150ha farm in Lincolnshire where detailed drainage maps had been lost.
